- What is CollegePackingList?
CPL is a website that provides a suggested packing list, and makes it super easy to organize all of your college moving needs.
- Do I need to have a Facebook account to use the site?
We run our user system through Facebook - if you don't have a Facebook account, you can still use the site! You just won't be able to share or save your lists.
- Can I add custom items my list?
Yes! Type in whatever you want to add and the category you want it added to right below the categories on the left sidebar. For example - if you want to add "Ironing Board" to your packing list, type "Ironing Board", select "Clothing:Laundry" from the menu, and click "Add It!" Your ironing board will now appear in your packing list.
- Does my list automatically save?
Make sure you are logged in - we aren't able to save anything until you log in. After you've logged in, we try to save all of your changes to the list, but to be safe, always click the "save" button before you leave!
- Do I really need everything on the default list you provide?
Not necessarily - we've put together a list of items we think you'll need, but everyone's needs are different. If you don't think an item applies to you, feel free to remove it from the list by clicking the "x" next to that item.
- Can I just print out a regular college packing list?
Yes! Just click the print button on the packing list and you'll get a printer-friendly copy of the default list (or if you've made changes, you'll get your customized list)
